What to Expect

Pre-Treatment

Avoid dental procedures, including cleanings, and vaccinations two weeks before and after your appointment.

Pre-Treatment

Avoid travel within 48 hours of SkinVive treatment.

Pre-Treatment

Avoid strenuous exercise, ibuprofen, aspirin or alcohol for 24 hours as this might increase your risk of bruising.

Pre-Treatment

We advise a pre-treatment with Valtrex for patients with a history of cold sores.

Pre-Treatment

Taking Arnica before or after the injections may decrease the risk of developing a bruise and/or help to diminish the bruise faster.

Post-Treatment

Avoid facial massage including at-home devices for two weeks.

Post-Treatment

Bruising and swelling may occur, but will typically subside after several days. You may apply arnica and ice (for no longer than 5 minutes at a time) to the affected area periodically.

Post-Treatment

Avoid wearing makeup and touching your face for 24 hours after your treatment.

Post-Treatment

Avoid strenuous exercise, ibuprofen, aspirin or alcohol for 48 hours as this might increase your risk of bruising. For mild soreness/tenderness, Tylenol can be taken.

What should I expect immediately after the treatment?

Bruising or swelling is possible, typically peaking at 48 hours and fully resolving within 1-2 weeks.

What results can I expect from the treatment?

You will notice smoother skin, increased glow, and more refined skin texture.

When should I come back for my next treatment?

A 2 week follow up is recommended, but not essential. At this visit, you and your provider will determine whether another round of SkinVive is recommended.

How long does the treatment last?

Results from SkinVive last approximately 6 months.

Is this treatment pregnancy safe?

No, SkinVive is not recommended when pregnant or breastfeeding.
