Details
Hyaluronidase such as Hylenex is injected to dissolve previously placed hyaluronic acid dermal filler. This treatment can be used to dissolve old filler in preparation for a new treatment, or in the case of filler migration or nodules.
Goals
Treatable Areas
Temple, under eye, cheeks, chin, jawline and lips.
What to Expect
Pre-Treatment
Avoid strenuous exercise, ibuprofen, aspirin or alcohol for 24 hours as this might increase your risk of bruising.
Post-Treatment
After Hyaluronidase, it is common to have some localized swelling that should subside within 48-72 hours. Bruising may also occur and should subside in a few days (up to a week). You may apply arnica to help alleviate the bruising.
Post-Treatment
Makeup and skincare can be applied immediately afterwards.
