So how does it work? Different from Botox, for example, most fillers are made of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is key because it stores moisture, which makes the skin appear hydrated and rejuvenated. Fillers are typically used to replace volume lost in our faces as we age or to add volume where desired aesthetically.
Fillers have different viscosities, making them appropriate for different areas of the anatomy. Make sure to discuss your goals clearly with your injector before treatment and they will determine which product is right for you.
Immediately following treatment, we recommend avoiding salty foods to minimize swelling and skipping your workout for twenty-four hours. Most likely you’ll be good to go with your normal routine the day after treatment. Results typically last six to nine months.
As we like to say, the best work should go nearly unnoticed –– like you, just refreshed!
